  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar or malt vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • Vegetable oil for deep-frying OR
  • Cooking spray for baking or air frying

Instructions
 

  • Marinate the Chicken: Whisk together buttermilk, vinegar, and spices, then add chicken strips. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour (overnight for best results).
  • Prepare the Coating: Mix flour, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, and onion powder. Beat the eggs in a separate bowl.
  • Coat the Chicken: Dip chicken strips in the egg wash, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Cooking Methods: 1 Deep Frying: Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry chicken until golden and cooked through. 2 Baking: Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and bake for 18-20 minutes. 3 Air Frying: Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and cook for 10-12 minutes.
