  • 4 flour tortillas 8-inch
  • 1 cup cream cheese softened
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon divided
  • 1 ripe banana mashed (optional)
  • ½ cup caramel sauce for drizzling
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 egg beaten (for sealing)
  • Oil for frying vegetable or canola
  • Whipped cream for serving
  • Ice cream optional, for serving

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Filling: In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and ½ teaspoon cinnamon until smooth. If using banana, mash it and fold it into the mixture.
  • Assemble the Xangos: Lay out tortillas and spread about ¼ cup of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each. Roll tightly, tucking in the sides like a burrito. Seal the edges with beaten egg.
  • Heat the Oil: In a deep pan or fryer, heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
  • Fry the Xangos: Carefully place the rolled tortillas in the hot oil and fry for 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  • Coat in Cinnamon Sugar: Mix granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon in a bowl. Roll the fried xangos in the mixture while warm.
  • Serve: Drizzle with caramel sauce and serve with whipped cream or ice cream for an indulgent treat.
